Brooksong is an upscale, secluded log cabin vacation rental in the mountains of Western North Carolina, conveniently located 30 minutes from Brevard, NC; 60 minutes from Asheville and Hendersonville, NC; and 90 minutes from Greenville, SC. It’s only a short drive to many of the top attractions in the area, including Gorges State Park and Pisgah National Forest, the famous Brevard Music Festival and White Squirrel Weekend, the French Broad River, the Biltmore Estate, and the Gorge Zip Line.
This dog-friendly cabin sits on six private acres with four streams running from two large waterfalls, accessible only by guests of the cabin. Rooms are spacious with lodge-style elegance. Relax in a comfy couch in our sunroom, flanked by a tall rock fireplace and two stories of 10 windows with a stunning view, or dine al fresco on our large covered back deck, which spans the length of the cabin.
Brooksong is the perfect place for families, couples, small friend groups, and those with special celebrations. We have everything you need for a memorable trip, including Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and – most importantly – the great outdoors!
At Brooksong, water is all around you – and there are so many different ways to enjoy it! Make memories telling stories or making smores at the firepit next to Bearpen Creek, let the sound of the creek lull you to sleep in the hammock in the side yard, or meander down to the streams and waterfalls. The benches on the viewing platform for Bearpen Falls are just a quick walk from the cabin, perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and everything in between. And if you walk back down the driveway and cross the bridge, you’ll find the trail leading to Cascade Falls, the second waterfall at Brooksong Log Cabin.

About the Cabin
Indoors: The cabin has an open floor plan that is spacious and welcoming. The master bedroom is upstairs next to the loft and has a king sized bed and adjacent bathroom and laundry room. The loft contains a double futon and a desk. The second bedroom is downstairs, has a large walk-in closet and smart TV, and is adjacent to the downstairs bathroom.
Outdoors: The covered deck spans the length of the house and contains a dining table and chairs, two rocking chairs, and a porch swing. It’s a great place to sit and listen to the waterfall and stream, watch a passing rainstorm while staying dry, or view your loved ones relaxing or playing in the yard below. But there are also plenty of places to sit in the yard, including in the benches next the firepit along Bearpen Creek.
Cabin Highlights
*Mix of antique, pine, and homemade furnishings and decor collected from around the country, including custom log beds from Idaho.
*Large sunroom w/ 2-story rock fireplace, leather sofas, 10 picture windows to view the beautiful landscape, and a large flat screen smart TV.
*Fireplace is made from from our streams and has hidden music notes inlaid in the design.
*Mantle was built with a tree from the property.

For us this was the perfect getaway. Totally private, beautiful cabin in the woods, with a creek and waterfall out the back door. The house was very clean. The owner was very gracious and we accidentally met her sister, who was a great help to us. We sat on the deck and listened to the waterfalls, so peaceful. We loved it.

Owners are great, very accommodating with pets. Great communication. The place, hard to describe other than a wonderful slice of heaven. There is no exaggeration in the marketing of this place, it is very private, it is surreal with the sounds of running water and the waterfalls. The place is well decorated and lacks nothing.
